NFC West Update
We’ve all heard the explanation as to why Marshawn Lynch didn’t have his number called on that eventful 2nd & goal play during the Super Bowl, but the Seattle Seahawks’ front office has succeeded where the coaching staff failed. According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Lynch has signed a one-year deal worth $11 million. Beast Mode was scheduled to make $8.5 million in 2015 but this $2.5 million raise is out-fitted with more up-front money, $10 million in signing and roster bonuses. The deal puts Lynch among the Top 3 paid running backs in the league behind Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy.
The experts will have to update their mock drafts as it has become all but certain that neither Melvin Gordon nor Todd Gurley will be headed to Seattle. As for the fantasy football buffs, Christine Michael may never get his opportunity as a member of the Seahawks as it is evident that Seattle’s offense will continue to rely heavily on Beast Mode.
