Shane Vereen to IR, stash Rashad Jennings

Shane Vereen to IR, stash Rashad Jennings
CPGM Front Office

Shane Vereen has been placed on injured reserved designated to return with torn triceps. Vereen got the start in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins as Rashad Jennings sat out with a thumb injury. Jennings indicated that ball security isn’t an issue but his ability to pass protect and catch out of the backfield was compromised so he sat out. Orleans Darkwa and Bobby Rainey are expected to form a committee while the Giants top backs are on the shelf. Now is the time to buy low on Jennings or scoop him up if an owner has dropped him. Without Vereen out of the picture Jennings will get more opportunities in the passing game. For those of you in keeper/dynasty leagues a speculative add of rookie Paul Perkins may be in order.
