AFC South Update
The Tennessee Titans have taken steps to bolster their anemic pass rush by re-signing outside linebacker Derrick Morgan and signing former Redskins’ OLB Brian Orakpo. Morgan’s deal is for four years $30 million roughly, meanwhile Orakpo puts ink to paper on a four- year $32 million deal with $13.5 million in guaranteed money. Morgan, 26, is coming off his best season as a pro with 63 tackles and 6.5 sacks on an otherwise talent depleted Tennessee Titans’ roster. Orakpo, 28, has demonstrated excellent pass rushing skills albeit in limited action considering he missed most of the 2012 and 2014 seasons due to pectoral tears. If Orakpo can stay healthy and Morgan can take another step forward in his development, Dick Lebeau/Ray Horton’s 34 defense will have a solid pass rush off the edge in 2015.
