ELITE | |
"These Running Backs will carry your football team plain and simple."
1. Saquon Barkley - New York Giants | 1. Saquon Barkley - New York Giants |
2. Alvin Kamara - New Orleans Saints - Latavius Murray will get his touches but he is no Mark Ingram and he is new to the offense.. Kamara should get the volume he was getting when Ingram missed the first 4 games last season. I am all in once again. | 2. Christian McCaffrey - Carolina Panthers |
3. Christian McCaffrey - Carolina Panthers | 3. Joe Mixon - Cincinnati Bengals |
4. Ezekiel Elliott - Dallas Cowboys | 4. Alvin Kamara - New Orleans Saints |
5. Melvin Gordon - Los Angeles Chargers - The recent news of Melvin Gordon’s potential holdout might drop his fantasy stock a bit for 2019 but the Chargers have a Super Bowl window they can’t afford to pass up. PAY THAT MAN! | 5. Ezekiel Elliot - Dallas Cowboys |
6. Le'Veon Bell - New York Jets | 6. Melvin Gordon - Los Angeles Chargers |
7. Nick Chubb - Cleveland Browns - Gets a full season as the starter and much more for the defense to worry about than just the RB.
SUPERS | |
"This set of backs can carry your team just not to the level of the tier above them, a few more carries/catches can change this for the better."
7. Dalvin Cook - Minnesota Vikings - The Vikings brought in Gary Kubiak as an offensive advisor and got some new athletic lineman to help the running game. The Dalvin breakout is on the way, stay tuned. | 8. Le'Veon Bell - New York Jets |
8. Joe Mixon - Cincinnati Bengals | 9. Dalvin Cook - Minnesota Vikings - If he is healthy he is a top 5 fantasy RB but will he be healthy? |
9. Todd Gurley - Los Angeles Rams - Gurley’s knee arthritis will have many fantasy owners pass him up in the draft. I will gladly scoop him up in round 2 of the draft and take his 16 carries per game. 250 carries of Todd Gurley will get the job done. | 10. Todd Gurley - Los Angeles Rams |
10. Nick Chubb - Cleveland Browns | 11. Devonta Freeman - Atlanta Falcons - Will have a career year this year!!! |
11. David Johnson - Arizona Cardinals - Don’t get me wrong DJ is a stud but the jury is out on his new offensive play caller Kliff Kingsbury. Can his offensive scheme translate to the NFL? It will be hard to get things going on the ground with an offensive line that’s No Bueno. | 12. James Conner - Pittsburgh Steelers |
13. David Johnson - Arizona Cardinals - Will be the PPR God RB! However I don't know if he will get much in the run game. True spread offense coming soon.
14. Marlon Mack - Indianapolis Colts
15. Derrick Henry - Tennessee Titans
16. Damien Williams - Kansas City Chiefs - NO Hunt, no problem. I do believe Williams is a more dynamic player than Hunt and you will see it this season if you haven't already seen it ya self!
17. Leonard Fournette - Jacksonville Jaguars
NEXT LEVEL PLAYERS | |
"This level of Running back is on the cusp of the "ELITE" & "SUPERS" tiers and can carry your team a few times per season."
12. Marlon Mack - Indianapolis Colts | 18. Telvin Coleman - San Francisco 49ers - I'd love to say he is going to have a career year but they're so many RBs in the backfield, but he knows the offense so he will be a guy that I could see slip into the "SUPER" level by seasons end. |
13. Derrick Henry - Tennessee Titans | 19. Kerryon Johnson - Detroit Lions |
14. Damien Williams - Kansas City Chiefs | 20. Kenyan Drake - Miami Dolphins |
15. Aaron Jones - Green Bay Packers | 21. Chris Carson - Seattle Seahawks |
16. James Conner - Pittsburgh Steelers - No love for Conner you might ask. I don’t think he gets through all 16 games healthy and I secretly believe that Jaylen Samuels is a future stud. | 22. Mark Ingram - Baltimore Ravens |
17. Devonta Freeman - Atlanta Falcons - If you listened to my running back bold prediction on YouTube, then you know I believe the Free will be back producing as if it was 2015-2016. Tevin Coleman is now in San Francisco and although Ito Smith flashed last season, he is not on the same caliber as Coleman or Freeman. The addition of two first round offensive lineman tells me the Falcons want to get back to running the football. | 23. Aaron Jones - Green Bay Packers - Lookng forward to Jones getting his due. New coach, new scheme and a coach that will listen to his QB as to who he prefers in the backfield. |
18. Leonard Fournette - Jacksonville Jaguars | 24. Lamar Miller - Houston Texans |
19. Phillip Lindsay - Denver Broncos | 25. Sony Michel - New England Patriots |
20. Chris Carson - Seattle Seahawks - Attention everyone! Invest in the Seahawks backfield this season. The Hawks led the league in rushing yards last season and finished second in carries. This run first approach will continue in 2019 so grab Carson and his teammate Rashaad Penny. | 26. Phillip Lindsay - Denver Broncos |
27. Josh Jacobs - Oakland Raiders
28. James White - New England Patriots
29. Tarik Cohen - Chicago Bears
PROMISING | |
"You have seen the potential or at the very least a glimpse."
21. David Montgomery - Chicago Bears - My favorite for offensive rookie of the year. | 30. Jordan Howard - Philadelphia Eagles |
22. Mark Ingram - Baltimore Ravens | 31. David Montgomery - Chicago Bears - I believe he has the talent to be at the very least a next level player, but they're so many weapons to factor and couple that with the Swiss army knife in Cohen, I couldn't bring myself to do it. |
23. Josh Jacobs - Oakland Raiders | 32. LeSean McCoy - Buffalo Bills |
24. Kenyan Drake - Miami Dolphins | 33. Derrius Guice - Washington Redskins - AP still in the buiding and Chris Thompson is back and a rookie QB may be at the helm... |
25. Kerryon Johnson - Detroit Lions - If only Matt Patricia would give this man more carries. The Lions will continue their RBBC approach and fantasy owners will be livid. | 34. Peyton Barber - Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
26. Tarik Cohen - Chicago Bears
27. James White - New England Patriots
28. Tevin Coleman - San Francisco 49ers - We know the 49ers will run the ball effectively this year but it will be a hot hand approach. Coleman, Matt Breida and Jerrick McKinnon owners will be frustrated so why not grab them all if you have space on your roster.
STATUS QUO | |
"You know what you are getting all-be-it nothing special."
29. Sony Michel - New England Patriots | 35. Jerick McKinnon - San Francisco 49ers |
30. Lamar Miller - Houston Texans | 36. Austin Ekeler - Los Angeles Chargers |
31. Jordan Howard - Philadelphia Eagles | 37. Adrian Peterson - Washington Redskins |
32. Adrian Peterson - Washington Redskins - A.P. outscores Derrius Guice this season. Peterson is not human and shouldn’t be looked at like a 34- year-old running back. | 38. Rashaad Penny - Seattle Seahawks |
39. Chris Thompson - Washington Redskins
COMPLEMENT | |
"This set of running backs typically meet or are just shy of their projections."
33. Royce Freeman - Denver Broncos | 40. Latavius Murray - New Orleans Saints |
34. Rashaad Penny - Seattle Seahawks | 41. Miles Sanders - Philadelphia Eagles |
35. Latavius Murray - New Orleans Saints | 42. Kalen Ballage - Miami Dolphins |
36. Derrius Guice - Washington Redskins | 43. LeSean McCoy - Buffalo Bills |
37. Matt Breida - San Francisco 49ers
38. Austin Ekeler - Los Angeles Chargers
39. Darrell Henderson - Los Angeles Rams - It’s always a good idea to grab handcuffs later in your drafts and Henderson is a good one to grab with Gurley’s knee issues.
WAIT AND SEE | |
"It’s exactly what it sounds like... Just wanna see more..."
40. LeSean McCoy - Buffalo Bills | 44. Carlos Hyde - Kansas City Chiefs |
41. Miles Sanders - Philadelphia Eagles | 45. Royce Freeman - Denver Broncos |
42. Jaylen Samuels - Pittsburgh Steelers | 46. Dion Lewis - Tennessee Titans |
47. Ronald Jones - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
48. Jamaal Williams - Green Bay Packers
BEST OF THE REST | |
"Late round fliers and watch list candidates."
43. Ito Smith - Atlanta Falcons | 49. Duke Johnson - Houston Texans |
44. C.J. Anderson - Detroit Lions | 50. Ito Smith - Atlanta Falcons |
45. Kalen Ballage - Miami Dolphins
46. Dion Lewis - Tennessee Titans
47. Nyheim Hines - Indianapolis Colts
48. Ronald Jones - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
49. Duke Johnson - Houston Texans
50. Damien Harris - New England Patriots |
