AFC East Update
In an effort to keep veteran wide receiver Brandon Marshall happy the New York Jets have seen fit to give B. Marsh a raise. The former Pro Bowler was scheduled to make $24.3 million over the three years remaining on his existing contract assumed by the Jets after trading with the Bears to acquire the mercurial and talented receiver. The Jets have given Marshall an additional $1.7 million over the course of the contract with an additional $1.3 million in guaranteed money. This showing of “good faith” is a relatively small investment and doesn’t necessarily mean Marshall will retire a Jet but the additional security should set all parties involved at ease regarding the 2015 season.
