Bills bring back pass rusher Jerry Hughes

AFC East Update

The Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with DE/OLB Jerry Hughes on a 5-year $45 million contract with $22 million in guaranteed money. Rex Ryan and the Bills made sure to bring back all members of their defensive line who led the league in sacks last season. Hughes has done his part in Buffalo compiling 19.5 sacks over the last two seasons while maintaining a physical edge in the running game as well. The Bills’ talented front 7 should have no problems adjusting to Ryan’s 3-4/46 attacking defense. If the Bills can sure up the back end and find a QB that can be efficient and protect the football, they are primed to make a playoff run behind a formidable defense and LeSean McCoy.
