Chiefs CB Sean Smith suspended

Sean Smith

AFC West Update

The NFL has suspended Kansas Chiefs’ cornerback Sean Smith for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Widely considered the Chiefs’ best cornerback since the departure of former running mate Brandon Flowers; Smith faces a 3-game suspension stemming from a DUI arrest. Smith, pleaded guilty in April to the charge and was given two years probation. The 28-year-old was pulled over by police after striking and breaking a light pole. Fortunately for the Chiefs they have quite a bit of depth at the corner position including 2015 first round selection Marcus Peters out of Washington.
