There were some surprise selections by the teams in the AFC West during the 1st round of the 2016 NFL Draft. However, the balance of each team’s draft will likely determine how impactful this class is (outside of Paxton Lynch). The Broncos grabbed their future signal caller and a potential stud at running back. The Raiders continued their recent trend of drafting effectively including a replacement for future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. The Chargers are responsible for the first BIG surprise of the draft and the Kansas City Chiefs traded out of the first round altogether to stockpile picks and talent.
