AFC East Update
The New England Patriots and free safety Devin McCourty agreed to a 5-year $47.5 million contract with $28.5 million guaranteed. Defensive backs around the league are cashing in and McCourty, a stand-out safety, and pivotal figure for the Pats in their Super Bowl run last season is no different. McCourty who patrols the deep middle of the field has been exceptional in all facets of the game. Whether it’s tackling, his play making abilities, or in the return game McCourty brings a dimension the Patriots are very happy to retain. Now the question on everyone’s mind is do the Pats have enough money to keep their defensive MVP Darrelle Revis?
