2020 Dynasty Rookie Rankings
Dynasty rookie drafts are underway but it’s never too late to check out our latest Dynasty Rookie Rankings. This is a loaded class in terms of wide receivers and there isn’t a consensus number one pick. However , trading down in your dynasty rookie drafts might be a viable option. See below as I’ve separated rankings for Standard Leagues, Superflex leagues, and give my rankings by position.
Top 20 Overall Dynasty Rookie Rankings (2020) | |||
1.01 | Clyde Edwards-Helaire | Kansas City Chiefs | CEH is in a great position to put up numbers immediately in the high octane Chiefs offense. |
1.02 | Jonathan Taylor | Indianapolis Colts | Got to love Taylor running behind that Colts offensive line. |
1.03 | Cam Akers | Los Angeles Rams | The system and fit for Akers makes him RB3. |
1.04 | CeeDee Lamb | Dallas Cowboys | My WR1 in the class goes to a team that will immediately insert him as a go to guy in that offense. |
1.05 | Henry Ruggs | Las Vegas Raiders | Speed kills and Ruggs plays at a different speed that teams will find hard to contain. |
1.06 | D'Andre Swift | Detroit Lions | Love Swift as a player but the committee backfield approach by Matt Patricia devalues him a bit. |
1.07 | Jerry Jeudy | Denver Broncos | The route running of Jeudy will get him open early and often, but can Drew Lock find him? |
1.08 | J.K. Dobbins | Baltimore Ravens | Once Mark Ingram is no longer in Baltimore, Dobbins will be a big time fantasy player. |
1.09 | Jalen Reagor | Philadelphia Eagles | The Eagles desperately needed more explosiveness on offense and got a guy that can take it the distance on any given play. |
1.10 | Joe Burrow | Cincinnati Bengals | Burrow's ability to read the field pre-snap and make plays outside the pocket makes him the best QB in the class. |
1.11 | Tee Higgins | Cincinnati Bengals | The Bengals offense will drastically change with Joe Burrow and Higgins will reap the benefit. |
1.12 | Denzel Mims | New York Jets | The Jets receiver core leaves Mims as a guy that can be the WR1 in New York. |
2.01 | Justin Jefferson | Minnesota Vikings | Love the player but the Vikings run first offense and Adam Thielen will make Jefferson target share sporadic. |
2.02 | Brandon Aiyuk | San Francisco 49ers | Aiyuk is my guy but like Justin Jefferson he's in a run first offense with other pass catchers in front of him in the pecking order. |
2.03 | Michael Pittman | Indianapolis Colts | Pittman landed in a great opportunity to produce in his rookie season with the dearth of talent out wide for Indianapolis. Rivers will be looking his way as his new Vincent Jackson. |
2.04 | Laviska Shenault | Jacksonville Jaguars | I expect the Jags to open up the passing offense more this season with new OC Jay Gruden. Shenault if healthy can be the sidekick to DJ Chark. |
2.05 | Zack Moss | Buffalo Bills | Love the Singletary/Moss backfield. I am buying both. |
2.06 | Tua Tagovailoa | MIami Dolphins | If the Dolphins build their offense around Tua's skill set then the sky is the limit. Heavy RPO and playmakers that can run after the catch. |
2.07 | Van Jefferson | Los Angeles Rams | No more Brandin Cooks opens up a starting receiver spot in the Rams 11 personnel. Josh Reynolds had his shot, it's time for Jefferson and his route running prowess. |
2.08 | K.J. Hamler | Denver Broncos | Broncos really improved their receiver core in the draft with Jeudy and Hamler. Hamler will man the slot and stretch the defense vertically. |

1.06 | CeeDee Lamb | Dallas Cowboys | My WR1 in the class goes to a team that will immediately insert him as a go to guy in that offense. |
1.07 | Justin Herbert | Los Angeles Chargers | The Chargers should implement a run first offense and heavy play action. Herbert could thrive in that kind of offense with two big play wide receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. |
1.08 | Henry Ruggs | Las Vegas Raiders | Speed kills and Ruggs plays at a different speed that teams will find hard to contain. |
1.09 | D'Andre Swift | Detroit Lions | Love Swift as a player but the committee backfield approach by Matt Patricia devalues him a bit. |

2.03 | Jordan Love | Green Bay Packers | It might take a while, but Love's ceiling is enticing. |
2.04 | Justin Jefferson | Minnesota Vikings | Love the player but the Vikings run first offense and Adam Thielen will make Jefferson target share sporadic. |
2.05 | Brandon Aiyuk | San Francisco 49ers | Aiyuk is my guy but like Justin Jefferson he's in a run first offense with other pass catchers in front of him in the pecking order. |

2.07 | Laviska Shenault | Jacksonville Jaguars | I expect the Jags to open up the passing offense more this season with new OC Jay Gruden. Shenault if healthy can be the sidekick to DJ Chark. |
2.08 | Jacob Eason | Indianapolis Colts | A strong arm quarterback playing behind an aging Philip Rivers. |
2.09 | Zack Moss | Buffalo Bills | Love the Singletary/Moss backfield. I am buying both. |
2.10 | Van Jefferson | Los Angeles Rams | No more Brandin Cooks opens up a starting receiver spot in the Rams 11 personnel. Josh Reynolds had his shot, it's time for Jefferson and his route running prowess. |
2.11 | K.J. Hamler | Denver Broncos | Broncos really improved their receiver core in the draft with Jeudy and Hamler. Hamler will man the slot and stretch the defense vertically. |
2.12 | A.J. Dillon | Green Bay Packers | It might not be this season but I see Dillon having a huge role in year 2/3. |
3.01 | Bryan Edwards | Las Vegas Raiders | I think Edwards can thrive in the slot with his big play ability after the catch. |
Quarterbacks | |||
QB1 | Joe Burrow | Cincinnati Bengals | Burrow's ability to read the field pre-snap and make plays outside the pocket makes him the best QB in the class. |
QB2 | Tua Tagovailoa | Miami Dolphins | If the Dolphins build their offense around Tua's skill set then the sky is the limit. Heavy RPO and playmakers that can run after the catch. |
QB3 | Jusitn Herbert | Los Angeles Chargers | The Chargers should implement a run first offense and heavy play action. Herbert could thrive in that kind of offense with two big play wide receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. |
QB4 | Jordan Love | Green Bay Packers | It might take a while, but Love's ceiling is enticing. |
QB5 | Jacob Eason | Indianapolis Colts | A strong arm quarterback playing behind an aging Philip Rivers. |
QB6 | Jalen Hurts | Philadelphia Eagles | Carson Wentz hasn't been able to stay healthy which can open up an opportunity for Hurts. |
QB7 | Jake Fromm | Buffalo Bills | Josh Allen's reckless style may open him up for injury. |
QB8 | James Morgan | New York Jets | A development quarterback with a great arm. If the Jets can fix some of his technical issues they can flip him in a couple of years if Darnold is still the guy. |
Running Backs | |||
RB1 | Clyde Edwards-Helaire | Kansas City Chiefs | CEH is in a great position to put up numbers immediately in the high octane Chiefs offense. |
RB2 | Jonathan Taylor | Indianapolis Colts | Got to love Taylor running behind that Colts offensive line. |
RB3 | Cam Akers | Los Angeles Rams | The system and fit for Akers makes him RB3. |
RB4 | D'Andre Swift | Detroit Lions | Love Swift as a player but the committee backfield approach by Matt Patricia devalues him a bit. |
RB5 | J.K. Dobbins | Baltimore Ravens | Once Mark Ingram is no longer in Baltimore, Dobbins will be a big time fantasy player. |
RB6 | Zack Moss | Buffalo Bills | Love the Singletary/Moss backfield. I am buying both. |
RB7 | A.J. Dillon | Green Bay Packers | It might not be this season but I see Dillon having a huge role in year 2/3. |
RB8 | Joshua Kelley | Los Angeles Chargers | It might not have been a sexy pick but Kelley can be a great complement to Austin Ekeler. |
RB9 | Ke'Shawn Vaughn | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | He will be higher on other rankings but I am still a believer in Ronald Jones talent. |
RB10 | Darrynton Evans | Tennessee Titans | No more Dion Lewis gives Evans a chance to be the change of pace back to Derrick Henry. |
RB11 | Anthony McFarland | Pittsburgh Steelers | Love McFarland as a player, once some of the backs on the Steelers roster is no longer there he will get his opportunity. |
RB12 | Antonio Gibson | Washington Redskins | The do-it-all Gibson will be used all over the formation for the Redskins. |
Wide Receivers | |||
WR1 | CeeDee Lamb | Dallas Cowboys | My WR1 in the class goes to a team that will immediately insert him as a go to guy in that offense. |
WR2 | Henry Ruggs | Las Vegas Raiders | Speed kills and Ruggs plays at a different speed that teams will find hard to contain. |
WR3 | Jerry Jeudy | Denver Broncos | The route running of Jeudy will get him open early and often, but can Drew Lock find him? |
WR4 | Jalen Reagor | Philadelphia Eagles | The Eagles desperately needed more explosiveness on offense and got a guy that can take it the distance on any given play. |
WR5 | Tee Higgins | Cincinnati Bengals | The Bengals offense will drastically change with Joe Burrow and Higgins will reap the benefit. |
WR6 | Denzel Mims | New York Jets | The Jets receiver core leaves Mims as a guy that can be the WR1 in New York. |
WR7 | Justin Jefferson | Minnesota Vikings | Love the player but the Vikings run first offense and Adam Thielen will make Jefferson target share sporadic. |
WR8 | Brandon Aiyuk | San Francisco 49ers | Aiyuk is my guy but like Justin Jefferson he's in a run first offense with other pass catchers in front of him in the pecking order. |
WR9 | Michael Pittman | Indianapolis Colts | Pittman landed in a great opportunity to produce in his rookie season with the dearth of talent out wide for Indianapolis. Rivers will be looking his way as his new Vincent Jackson. |
WR10 | Laviska Shenault | Jacksonville Jaguars | I expect the Jags to open up the passing offense more this season with new OC Jay Gruden. Shenault if healthy can be the sidekick to DJ Chark. |
WR11 | Van Jefferson | Los Angeles Rams | No more Brandin Cooks opens up a starting receiver spot in the Rams 11 personnel. Josh Reynolds had his shot, it's time for Jefferson and his route running prowess. |
WR12 | K.J. Hamler | Denver Broncos | Broncos really improved their receiver core in the draft with Jeudy and Hamler. Hamler will man the slot and stretch the defense vertically. |
WR13 | Bryan Edwards | Las Vegas Raiders | I think Edwards can thrive in the slot with his big play ability after the catch. |
WR14 | Tyler Johnson | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | One of my favorites in the class will compete immediately with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for targets in the Bucs high octane offense. |
WR15 | Devin Duvernay | Baltimore Ravens | Duvernay can beat you deep from the inside or take a short pass the distance. He is a big play receiver the Ravens can use. |
WR16 | Antonio Gandy-Golden | Washington Redskins | The Redskins don't have another receiver on the roster that can play above the rim like Gandy-Golden. Even in a crowded receiver room, Gandy-Golden can be a vital piece for this offense. |
WR17 | Chase Claypool | Pittsburgh Steelers | It will be interesting to see how the Steelers deploy Claypool. With Ben back, look for them to have a lot of receivers on the field. |
WR18 | Quintez Cephus | Detroit Lions | His 40 time devalued his draft stock, but he plays much faster and more explosive than that time. |
WR19 | Donovan Peoples-Jones | Cleveland Browns | Peoples-Jones got lost in the shuffle at Michigan, but I think he will be a better pro than college player. |
WR20 | Gabriel Davis | Buffalo Bills | A big guy that can win deep down the field. Sounds like a player than can have success with Josh Allen. |
Tight Ends | |||
TE1 | Devin Asiasi | New England Patriots | The Patriots need a tight end that can be a receiving threat and Asiasi foots the bill. |
TE2 | Cole Kmet | Chicago Bears | He might be a better real life player than fantasy player but Kmet will be relied on in the Bears offense. |
TE3 | Adam Trautman | New Orleans Saints | He has the biggest upside at the position in terms of talent but he will more than likely arrive post the Drew Brees era. |
TE4 | Josiah Deguara | Green Bay Packers | Here is my sleeper of the class as Deguara is a do-it-all TE that looks natural in the pass game. |
TE5 | Dalton Keene | New England Patriots | Another versatile tight end. Remember the last time the Patriots drafted two tight ends in the same draft class. |
