Fantasy Football Waiver Wire (Add/Drop) – Week 12

Add – Case Keenum Minnesota Vikings

I highlighted Case Keenum last week as the quarterback to pick up off your waivers and he didn’t disappoint on Sunday against a tough Rams defense. Keenum and the Vikings are on a six game winning streak leaving Head Coach Mike Zimmer no other choice but to ride the hot right hand of Keenum. It doesn’t hurt to have the best wide receiver duo in the league this season with Adam Thielen dominating defensive backs all year long and Stefon Diggs’ precise route running and game breaking ability. Keenum might not be the best quarterback physically but he is in a great situation on one of the hottest teams in the league.

Running Backs

Add – Samaje Perine Washington Redskins

Samaje Perine

Another repeat offender on the Waiver Wire post from last week is Samaje Perine. We are getting to the end of the fantasy football regular season and to get a running back that has RB2 potential is huge. The Skins lost yet another running back last week as Chris Thompson went down with a broken right fibula. This leaves Perine as the only viable running back on their roster. If Perine can avoid putting the ball on the ground, it should be his job for the rest of the season. You can expect around 20 carries each week if the game script dictates with the potential to score touchdowns in bunches. Grab him immediately for your playoff push.

Wide Receivers

Add – Corey Coleman Cleveland Browns

Yea I know it’s the Cleveland Browns and we shouldn’t trust anything the Browns are doing on offense but Corey Coleman is back folks. After missing two months of the season with a broken hand, Coleman played in his first game since his injury on Sunday and was treated like the number 1 receiver for the Browns. He received 11 targets catching 6 of them for 80 yards against a stingy Jaguars pass defense. I wouldn’t be surprised if Coleman went on a tear for the rest of the season and provided you with WR2 numbers as his talent on a team that will be passing the football a lot is something that can’t be ignored. Coleman was my number 1 receiver in last year’s draft but has battled injuries in his first 2 seasons as a pro. If he can stay healthy then the sky is the limit.

Other Players who deserve an Add

Drop – Tyrell Williams Los Angeles Chargers

Tight Ends

Add – Charles Clay Buffalo Bills

Charles Clay

The veteran tight end missed his quarterback last week after Tyrod Taylor was benched in favor of Nathan Peterman. Peterman went out there and threw 5 first half picks which broke the NFL record for interceptions in a half. The Bills should go back to Taylor this week which bodes well for Clay. If Greg Olsen is still on your waivers then he is your guy but if not, Clay is a strong pickup for a TE needy team.
