Fantasy Football Waiver Wire (Add/Drop) – Week 10

Let’s get to it waiver wire style. Keep up to date on all fantasy news at

(Add recommendations will include players owned in less than 50% of leagues)

Add – Joe Flacco Baltimore Ravens

The end of one football week brings another week of slim pickings for QB waiver wire adds. The three quarterbacks owned under 50% that have great matchups with a decent chance to put up big numbers are listed, but Joe Flacco’s matchup against the Browns is the most enticing. Flacco with a healthy Mike Wallace and Steve Smith performed admirably against the Steelers in Week 9 and now gets to go up against the winless Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. If you are in desperate need for a bye week replacement facing the Browns is a good remedy for success. If you are not comfortable starting a QB on Thursday, then Carson Wentz against the Falcons or Jay Cutler against the Buccaneers are also viable options.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Jay Cutler Chicago Bears
  • Carson Wentz Philadelphia Eagles

Drop – Ryan Fitzpatrick New York Jets

Running Backs

Add – Rob Kelley Washington Redskins

It ain’t nothing wrong…with a little R. Kelley as he has supplanted Matt Jones atop the Redskins depth chart after his 87 yards, 1 touchdown performance in London in Week 8. Coach Jay Gruden has stated that Kelley is now his lead back and will handle the bulk of the carries. I know you can’t trust what coaches say but Kelley has played well since the preseason in limited opportunities and Jones can’t hold onto the ball. QB Kirk Cousins will have his share of turnovers so the Redskins can’t afford to turn the ball over in the running game. If Kelley plays well in the next couple of weeks against the Vikings and Packers stout run defenses then the position will be his for the rest of the way. To get a potential RB2 at this point in the season will definitely be a boost to your fantasy lineups.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Kapri Bibbs Denver Broncos
  • Chris Ivory Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Dion Lewis New England Patriots
  • Peyton Barber Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • James Starks Green Bay Packers

Drop – Matt Asiata Minnesota Vikings

Wide Receivers

Add –  J.J. Nelson Arizona Cardinals

If you didn’t read my post last week or you couldn’t afford to use a waiver on J.J. Nelson because of his bye week, now is the time to pounce on the Cardinals’ new number two receiver. Nelson amassed 19 targets in the Cardinals last 2 games and has taken over the starting position for the inconsistent Michael Floyd. If you thought John Brown was fast, Nelson is even faster. He fits perfectly with what Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer want to do with the vertical passing game. Add him immediately and drop Floyd.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Sammie Coates Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Kenny Britt L.A Rams
  • Steve Smith Sr. Baltimore Ravens
  • Marqise Lee Jacksonville Jaguars

Drop – Michael Floyd Arizona Cardinals

Tight Ends

Add – Lance Kendricks L.A Rams

The Rams have inexplicably become a passing team despite being in close games and having Todd Gurley in the backfield. Last week Gurley only received 12 carries compared to Case Keenum’s 46 passing attempts. Over 25% of those targets went to Kendricks who in recent weeks has made himself a viable tight end with a consistent floor. Kendricks was a guy I always thought had talent and even though he doesn’t give you much after the catch, he can give you around 6 catches for around 60 yards. Rookie Tyler Higbee has become an afterthought in the rotation and Kendricks is the tight end to own in L.A.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • LaDarius Green Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Cameron Brate Tampa Buccaneers
  • Austin Hooper Atlanta Falcons

Drop – Dennis Pitta Baltimore Ravens
