Fantasy Football Waiver Wire (Add/Drop) – Week 13

Fantasy Football waiver wire style. Keep up to date on all fantasy news at

(Add recommendations will include players owned in less than 50% of leagues)

Add – Colin Kaepernick San Francisco 49ers

Although it’s not translating into wins, Colin Kaepernick has produced big fantasy numbers over the last 4 weeks and is a dual threat quarterback you can add to your fantasy teams. Last week against the Dolphins Kap threw for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns to go along with 113 rushing yards. Whatever your scoring format may be, that is impressive fantasy output that should be added across all leagues. Running quarterbacks will always be fantasy relevant as you have seen in the past with Michael Vick and Tim Tebow and now with Tyrod Taylor and Kaepernick. Even if they don’t light it up for 3 touchdowns each week, they will produce solid running numbers to create a nice floor of fantasy points. The next 4 games to close out the fantasy season for Kaepernick  and the Niners include: the Bears, Jets, Falcons and Rams.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Ryan Tannehill Miami Dolphins

Drop – Andy Dalton Cincinnati Bengals

Running Backs

Add – Derrick Henry Tennessee Titans

At this point in the season as bye weeks are coming to an end it is a great time to add some players that can have a huge impact if injuries take place. The biggest name amongst running backs that can have a huge impact is Derrick Henry if something were to happen to DeMarco Murray. Henry saw good work last week gaining 60 yards on 8 carries and a touchdown. He is a dominant force that will get more touches in the last month of the season and like I said above, an injury to Murray and watch out. Jump on the train early before it starts moving and give Henry a speculative add.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Kenneth Dixon Baltimore Ravens
  • Alfred Morris Dallas Cowboys

Drop – Christine Michael Green Bay Packers

Wide Receivers

Add – Tyreek Hill Kansas City Chiefs

Jeremy Who? I kid I kid, Maclin is a very good wide receiver however the Chiefs weren’t finding ways to get Maclin the ball like they are doing with Tyreek Hill. Hill might be the most explosive player in the entire league whether it be through special teams, the passing game or on the ground. The Chiefs make an effort to scheme up plays to get Hill the ball throughout the game and he is now a strong fantasy start each week. Hill has double digit targets in 2 of the last 3 weeks and at least 50 yards in 4 of the last 5 games. Last week against a tough Broncos defense Hill became the first rookie since Gale Sayers to have a rushing, receiving and special teams TD in the same game. Hill is the best player to add who is owned under 50%.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Tyler Boyd Cincinnati Bengals
  • Malcolm Mitchell New England Patriots
  • Dontrelle Inman San Diego Chargers
  • Marqise Lee Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Marquess Wilson Chicago Bears
  • Ted Ginn Jr. Carolina Panthers

Drop – Allen Hurns Jacksonville Jaguars

Tight Ends

Add – Vernon Davis Washington Redskins

Redskins starting tight end Jordan Reed is dealing with a shoulder injury and is in a great deal of pain. Enter Vernon Davis who quietly has had an impact with or without Reed present. Reed might end up missing just 1 game, if that, but Davis is a good add regardless as he has at least 50 yards receiving in 6 games this year.

Other Players who deserve an Add
  • Hunter Henry San Diego Chargers
  • Vance McDonald San Francisco 49ers
  • C.J. Fiedorowicz Houston Texans

Drop – Gary Barnidge Cleveland Browns
