New England Patriots
Former USC standout and Washington Redskins’ tight end Fred Davis has signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots. What started as a relatively promising career has become perhaps Davis’ “last chance” as a member of the Patriots. Davis missed the entire 2014 season due to multiple violations of the league’s substance abuse policy. An injury riddled career has also been marred by a DUI case and a domestic violence incident. Davis definitely isn’t a lock to make the 53 man roster as he is the sixth tight end on the Patriots’ roster as it currently stands.
