NFC North Update
The Green Bay Packers continue to retain their own talent which have been a staple of their franchise over the last decade. After re-signing Randall Cobb and Bryan Bulaga earlier in free agency the Packers addressed their defensive line today signing both of their nose tackles B.J. Raji and Letroy Guion.
B.J. Raji has agreed to re-sign with the Packers on a one-year $3.5 million contact which could possibly rise to $4 million with incentives. Raji receivers a very friendly deal from the Packers after injuring his biceps in August causing him to miss the entire 2014 season.
The Packers also re-up with Letroy Guion on a one-year $2.75 million contract. Guion who started for the injured Raji is coming off of a career year but was arrested this offseason for possession of marijuana and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. With a suspension looming the Packers decided to end any long term talks with Guion signing him to a one year deal instead. Guion started every game for the Packers last season totaled 62 tackles with 3.5 sacks, impressive numbers for a nose tackle in an odd man front.
