Coming off a torn ACL in 2014, the former Broncos’ middle linebacker has agreed to a 3-year deal worth $9.25 million to play for the Colts. Irving is solid against the run and competent in coverage, albeit unspectacular. The Colts struggled mightily against the run last season and were gashed time and again by their nemesis the New England Patriots. It remains to be seen whether or not Irving will be ready to go at the beginning of the season but once healthy expect him to compete with D’Qwell Jackson and Jerrell Freeman for snaps at ILB.
