Despite only playing in five games since 2013 Josh Gordon’s incredible talent/potential seduced many a fantasy owner to overdraft him during 2016 Fantasy Football drafts. Unfortunately for those individuals Gordon has decided to forgo resuming his professional football career with the Cleveland Browns and check himself into a rehabilitation facility. Gordon’s checkered pass with drugs and alcohol is extensive and frankly he should not have been considered anything more than a late round flier. However, with new Head Coach Hue Jackson in town and a flash of said talent/potential during the preseason he steadily climbed draft boards and has crushed the long term fantasy hopes of many.
With Gordon for all intents and purposes “dun” in Cleveland it’s full steam ahead on Terrelle Pryor (sell-high candidate) and electrifying rookie wide out Corey Coleman. Coleman presents an intriguing buy-low option or a shrewd stash at the end of your bench as he recovers from injury. Cleveland will be throwing often as they will trail in most contests.
