CPGM Podcast – 2018 NFL Draft Class – Wide Receiver Preview – Ep. 81
For the 81st installment of the CPGM Podcast, the Couch Potato General Manager Front Office continues its position-by-position evaluation of the 2018 NFL Draft Class. Needless to say everyone is excited about this week’s NFL Combine from Indianapolis and the Front Office certainly will use the results as a means to confirm our game tape analysis or prompt us to re-visit the film. During last season’s combine wide receiver John Ross set a new 40-yard dash record running an eye-popping 4.22 time (CPGM Juice called it!). No one among the receivers in this year’s draft class is expected to challenge Ross’ record but there are a bevy of different types of receivers with a wide array of skill-sets.
While most prognosticators have lamented the fact that this draft class as a whole isn’t particularly deep, CPGM Drew and CPGM Headley respectfully disagree particularly at the wide receiver position. During their Wide Receiver Preview they discuss how they go about evaluating the position as it pertains to translating to the NFL level, list their Top 5 prospects at the wide receiver position, weigh in on who is overrated/underrated, and discusses their notes on a slew of prospects at the position.
The Front Office also gives you their take on the latest headlines around the NFL including: the Marcus Peters trade, Blake Bortles‘ contract extension, Matt Forte retiring after an under-appreciated 10-year career, rumors that Tyrann Mathieu may be out in Arizona and potential landing spots for Teddy Bridgewater.
We have a little bit of everything in this Podcast so if you’re “all-in” on the 2018 NFL Draft Class, be sure to tune into this Wide Receiver Preview and enjoy the ride.
