NFC North Update
The Packers do what they do best, retain their players and build through the draft. Randall Cobb signed a team friendly 4-year $40 million contract. It was reported Cobb could have signed with a lesser caliber team for up to $12 million per year but eventually decided against that notion and signed up to catch passes from Aaron Rodgers for four more years. Not bad for Cobb who is 25-years-old and can hit the open market again when he turns 29, giving him the opportunity to cash in on yet another lucrative deal. Cobb had a breakout year last season catching 91 balls for 1287 yards and 12 TDs. The Packers will once again be a force to be reckoned with in the NFC and can now focus their attention on their offensive line and front 7.
