Reggie Bush released by Lions

NFC North Update

After a injury-plagued 2014 season the Detroit Lions have decided to cut ties with Reggie Bush. When healthy, Bush was ineffective only averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Theo Riddick had already made an impression on the coaching staff and provided Bush-like speed and versatility when given an opportunity at a discounted rate. He now stands to have an increased role particularly in passing situations. Joique Bell will continue to see the bulk of the carries. The Lions save $1.7 million which we anticipate will be attributed to Ndamukong Suh’s contract offer.
