NFC East Update
Tim Tebow is back in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with former Heisman Trophy winner and Florida Gator great Tim Tebow to a one year contract. Tebow joins a crowded QB depth chart in Chip Kelly’s offense. Currently the Eagles have Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley, G.J. Kinne, and now Tebow competing for three roster spots. Essentially Tebow will compete with Barkley and Kinne for the final roster spot at QB. Tebow has not played in a regular season NFL game since 2012. His last opportunity came with the Patriots during training camp in 2013 but could not make the final roster. It will be an uphill battle to make the Eagles’ roster but will garner many headlines leading up to the season.
