Waiver Wire Fantasy Football Pickups for Week 14

These are players that are owned in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues.

Keke Coutee, Houston Texans

I didn’t expect a 141-yard receiving game from Coutee, but I knew he would be involved with Deshaun Watson losing receivers like every week. He’s down to Brandin Cooks, Coutee, and Chad Hansen. All three are good plays as Watson is quietly balling since Bill O’Brien was fired.

J.D McKissic, Washington Football Team

With Antonio Gibson battling a toe injury, McKissic caught a career high 10 passes for 90 yards on Monday night. If Gibson is out McKissic can be a floor RB3 play with RB2 potential. If you’re hurting for a running back he’s the best pickup this week.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

The Carson Wentz benching opens up an opportunity for rookie Jalen Hurts. If you’re a Wentz owner Hurts can probably give you similar fantasy production. Hurt’s legs allows him to put up a nice fantasy floor even if he doesn’t throw for big yardage.

Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team

Logan Thomas is finally cashing in for fantasy owners the last couple weeks with two straight games with a touchdown. In this fantasy tight end wasteland he’s a great pickup.

T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts

Look who’s back on the fantasy radar. As usual Hilton torched the Texans secondary for 8 catches 110 yards and a touchdown. He has two great matchups in a row for the fantasy playoffs against the Raiders and Texans defense again.

Ty Johnson, New York Jets

The Jets have gone through their share of running backs this season and now we’ve entered the Ty Johnson era. Johnson had a 22 carry 104–yard game this past Sunday and should get another heavy snap count if Frank Gore misses time.

Gabriel Davis, Buffalo Bills

When the Bills placed John Brown on injured reserve that was your queue to pick up the rookie Gabriel Davis. He has cashed in the last two weeks with TD catches. Continue to ride the hot hand.

Tim Patrick, Denver Broncos

I’m a little late on the Tim Patrick fantasy train but he looks to be the number one receiving option on the Broncos offense. He’s a bit inconsistent but if you’re in need of a receiver, Patrick is not a bad option.

Jordan Reed, San Francisco 49ers

Another tight end that can help you is Jordan Reed. If George Kittle is out he’s a preferred target in the 49ers offense.

Rashard Higgins, Cleveland Browns

If Baker Mayfield continues his recent hot streak, then Higgins is a good add in your leagues. The play action game of the Browns is opening up huge holes in the secondary for Higgins to feast.
